Alex was educated at the universities of Heidelberg, Cambridge and the ESCP Business School in Paris. He pursued a successful career within the film industry, founded Fortis Entertainment, which he sold to Sandra Bullock in 1998, following sales of $8 million by clients, several of whom were Academy nominated. He founded WriteMovies.com in 1999 and TalentScout International Management in 2001 and was elected a member of the British Film Academy (Bafta) in 2004. Alex has extensive experience of business models that operate the entertainment industry, and a network of key contacts. He is presently writing up his Ph.D at business school in London, based on entertainment industry business model optimisation.

George Vogiatzis is our Chieft Technical Officer and obtained an MS in Mathematics and Computer Science from Imperial College in 2002 and a PhD in Computer Vision from the University of Cambridge in 2006. He then spent 3 years in Toshiba Research after which he joined Aston University where he is now a Senior Lecturer with main research interests in 3D Computer Vision and its applications for Computer Graphics and Animation. George has overseen the commercialization of several state-of-the-art Computer Vision technologies and is a passionate believer in the potential of ZapToBuy to change the landscape of product placement.

Mike is a senior finance and strategy professional with knowledge of all aspects of the finance, HR and legal functions, a keen business sense and a broad range of commercial experience.

For the last 20 years he worked in the UK and USA for startups and fast growing enterprises. These have been either private equity/venture capital backed or founder owned. He has taken early stage start ups to profitability and went through the ups and downs of the dot.com boom and bust and the rise of Web 2.0 services from those ashes.

Noa Garcia

Vision Engineer

Noa graduated in Telecommunication Engineering from Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in Barcelona, Spain, in 2012. She carried out her Master Thesis at the Galician Research and Development Centre in Advanced Telecommunications during a 6 months internship. There, she was in charge of the specification and implementation of a tool designed to estimate heart rate by using facial video information. At the time, she went in depth with video analysis, signal processing and computer vision techniques.

In 2012, she moved out to live at Madrid, Spain, where she has been involved in several computer vision projects, including a short experience in a Spanish startup focused on visual research for the fashion world. After this experience, she joined the Grupo de Aplicación de Telecomunicaciones Visuales at Polytechnic University of Madrid as a Researcher Engineer working on video analysis for two years. Currently, Noa is a key in ZTB's development of cuting edge technology.

Marco Fiocco

Marco is a software engineer and entrepreneur with a strong passion for products that can change the world. He has more than 10 years of experience in the 3D reconstruction and laser scanning industry with a broad knowledge of computer vision and computer graphics.
Marco obtained a Masters in Computer Science Engineering from University of Padua in 2002 and worked on research of 3D reconstruction technologies for 7 years at the European Commission Joint Research Centre where he developed a complete software platform adopted by the International Atomic Energy Agency. He then co-founded Gexcel (was CTO), a start-up where his software is currently commercialised. After 5 years he moved to Cambridge to work for Broadcom as a GPU software engineer to learn more about the embedded GPU industry. He is currently pursuing an Executive MBA at Judge Business School in Cambridge.

Na’ím is currently pursuing his further education in Natural Sciences at Cambridge University. He has been active in the sales and negotiations arena for many years, with extensive experience in trading goods, hotel and tourism, as well as real estate. He is also an entrepreneur and has a great interest in matters relating to business, starting his first company at the age of 17. In the last three years he has become increasingly involved in scientific and technological research, and has now found his match at ZapToBuy. Na’ím hopes to greatly contribute with his skills and expertise to the growth of ZapToBuy in its process of becoming the leader in the market of product placement and e-commerce. He also brings with him an extensive set of 9 languages, which additionally helps ZapToBuy expand worldwide.
